(Nashville, Tenn) April 15, 2011—Recently nominated for “Christian Artist of the Year” and “Christian Song of the Year” for Billboard’s 2011 Music Awards, on top of his current six Dove Award nominations including Artist of the Year, Chris Tomlin’s And If Our God Is For Us... spring tour pulled in crowds by the thousands resulting in sold out shows all across the country. The tour was in such high demand, production added more show dates in Portland, Phoenix and Houston, and seats sold out shortly after they were announced.

Drawing the largest crowds were in Minneapolis, Houston, Chicago, Baltimore, and Los Angeles, where fans from miles away came to see Tomlin along with his close friends Louie Giglio, Christy Nockels and the critically acclaimed Irish-based band Rend Collective.

“Words can't describe what we saw happen each night of the Chris Tomlin And If Our God Is For Us Tour... with Louie Giglio,” says Dan Fife, concert promoter with Awakening Events. “This was not just another concert, it was a worshipful experience. We know that each night people in every city were ministered to and left transformed. It's an amazing honor for our team to be a part of it.”

After wrapping up a successful tour in Seattle, WA, this week Tomlin will release his second single “I Lift My Hands” from his latest best-selling album And If Our God Is For Us... The song goes for adds today and is the follow-up single to the megahit “I Will Follow.” Tomlin also recently filmed the stirring and hope-filled music video for "I Lift My Hands", which will premiere in May on iTunes ® and GMC.

“This song is a song of hope for people,” says the GRAMMY ® nominated artist. “One of the main phrases of the song is, ‘Let faith arise,’ and I think that is what the song is about - let faith arise in us as we lift our hands to God, as we stretch out our hands to God in hope, as we cry out to Him. I’m so thankful that God would allow us to carry such a powerful song to people.”

This year’s leading Dove nominee is also set to perform “Our God” at the 42nd Annual Dove Awards on Wednesday, April 20 at the Fox Theater in Atlanta. The ceremony will air on Easter Sunday at 7pm EST on GMC.
